Scriptures for Gaining Confidence & Confident Living

Scriptures for Gaining Confidence & Living Confidently
(Words of Affirmation)

Below are a list of 12 scriptures I use to affirm myself in the word of God. I've found this to be very effective, because His words are alive and active. So as you meditate on them and speak them out, they'll actively be working in and through you; helping you live life more confidently.

I've personalised these scriptures and highlighted in ‘red’ any words that I've included for my personal use/ to pray with. Feel free to use them as a template for yourself and if you need further scriptures specific to a particular area i.e. public speaking, body confidence etc, just let me know.

2 Corinthians 12:9 - His grace is sufficient for me, for His power is made perfect in my weakness. Therefore I will boast all the more gladly of my weaknesses, so that the power of Christ can work through me. My tests and trails will become my testimony so that I can inspire others, heal the broken-hearted and set the captives free.

Psalm 139: 14 - I am fearfully and wonderfully made. Wonderful are your works; my soul knows it very well. I will no long be self-conscious about my body or my physical features, because they’ve got God’s perfect seal of approval.

Philippians 4:13 – I can do all things through Christ (the Anointed One and His Anointing) who strengthens me.

2 Timothy 1:7 - I do not have the spirit of fear, but of power, Love & self-control (sound mind). Therefore I can control my thoughts and emotions. I am not afraid of anyone and I stand up for myself. I will accomplish my dreams and purpose, because through God’s spirit, I have the ability to do great things.

Matthew 5:37 - My yes will be yes and my no will be no. I am no longer a people pleaser and I am assertive.

Ephesians 4:29 - No unwholesome talk regarding my body, the way I look or my being will come out of my mouth, but only words that are good for building myself and others up... I speak words that will benefit myself and those that hear it.

1 John 5:14 – This is the confidence I have in approaching God, that if I ask anything in His will, He hears me. So Father because I know that being and living confidently is part of your will for my life, I know that you hear my plea that through your spirit I will gain confidence in Christ, the Anointed One and His anointing will continually work in and through me.

Philippians 1:6I am confident that He who began a good work in me will see it to completion. I will attain my goal of being and living confidently free from fear, so that I can help others and advance your kingdom.

Deuteronomy 31:6 – I am strong & courageous. I will not be afraid or terrified… for the Lord my God is with me. He will never leave nor forsake me.
I will not fear anything that may come against me or anything I have to face, because my confidence is in the Lord and He has promised to NEVER leave me.

Psalm 18:29 – With God I can run against a troop and I can leap over a wall.
So I will see progress in my journey to becoming confident/ living confidently.

1 John 4:18a – There is no fear in love, but perfect love casts out fear.
I choose to love perfectly and so I have no fear.
